Language

India is a country that is divided by states and united by languages. Albeit different languages. It is a home of different languages due to its cultural and geographical diversities. Each and every state is famous for its accent and for its language. Some of the languages are accepted nationally while others are accepted as dialects of particular regions.

To be fair, it would be difficult to state the right number of dialects, languages and scripts prevalent in India but there are at least 22 which are more popular than others. Usually each state has its own language deemed as official and they use either Hindi or English as the link language. The Union govt. does its work in Hindi and English. There is no National language as such but Hindi and English are the official languages of India and the regional languages are also official in their states.
